Heritage Grants
This was achieved by improving the visitor experience and conserving and restoring the protected landscape. In total, there were 42 interlinked mini projects designed to look after this special natural and cultural landscape for the benefit of future generations
An evaluation conference was attended by over 180 people from 100 partner organisations and stakeholder groups. There were a number of presentations aimed at local people, regional organisations and representatives from national agencies. Over 125 new project ideas were put forward, helping to direct the future management of the Harbour.
An academic paper was submitted based on the sub-tidal floor of the Bosham and Fishbourne channels to the Sussex Archaeology Symposium 2005.
The importance of farming within the AONB was communicated through two public farm open days and farmer events. An event at Tournerbury Farm attracted over 250 people and the project encouraged environmentally friendly use of land through agricultural activities.
