Role
Director of England, Midlands & East
As Director of England, Midlands & East for The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Liz is responsible for leading on the development and delivery of all aspects of our strategy across the area.

Liz has worked within the heritage sector for over 25 years and is constantly inspired by the stories of people who have created, championed and cared for that heritage over time, including those who are active today.

Liz joined the Heritage Fund as Head of Investment for the Midlands & East team in 2020 and was later seconded to a UK role supporting the delivery of Heritage 2033 strategy. Prior to her time at the Heritage Fund, she held a number of heritage led regeneration roles, most notably as CEO of Heritage Lincolnshire and as Chair of the Heritage Trust Network. She is a member of the Institute of Historic Buildings Conservation and is a passionate advocate for finding new uses for historic buildings at risk.

In her spare time Liz enjoys keeping active with her three children, inspiring them (whether they like it or not) by visiting cultural venues, heritage sites and natural landscapes across the UK.
