Anooshka Rawden
Role
Committee Member for England, London & South
Anooshka Rawden is the Cultural Heritage Lead for the South Downs National Park Authority.

Her career has spanned collections management, project and programme management and community engagement, with stand-out experiences including having cared for the museum collections of the Society of Antiquaries of London. She is currently a member of Arts Council England’s UK Accreditation Committee, and has previously acted as the vice chair of the Society for Museum Archaeology, where in 2020 she co-edited the first revised standards for the care of museum archaeology collections to be updated since 1992.

Anooshka has previously worked at Berkshire Archaeology, Reading Museum, Chichester District Museum, Society of Antiquaries of London, Science Museum Group and South East Museum Development. Her experience has enabled her to tap into cross-sector connections and opportunities for collaboration, with a core tenet being the power of archaeology and creativity to bring people together to explore contemporary issues.

Anooshka lives in east Hampshire within the South Downs National Park, and spends time at archery practice, at the gym, or trying to catch up on a growing pile of books to read. When not working, she is usually spending time with her two Alaskan Malamutes.
