Project description: This project will work with local primary school children and the community (parents and grandparents) to uncover family and community heritage and memories related to the working life and subsequent restoration of Raceview Mill.

Decision: Award Grant of £10,000 (100% of total project costs)

 

Muckamore Cricket & LT Club 150th Sesquicentennial Brochure

Applicant: Muckamore Cricket & Lawn Tennis Club

Project description: This project aims to produce and develop a historical 150th sesquicentennial brochure providing cultural heritage, contemporary record of the past and a legacy for future generations. The brochure will record achievements and statistics and will outline how the club has become more inclusive and diverse.

Decision: Award Grant of £4,403 (100% of total project costs)

 

Belfast 2024: Our Future Heritage Portfolio

Applicant: Belfast City Council

Project description: This project will be part of the 11 signature projects identified as having strong heritage themes, offering an opportunity for Belfast City to reflect on where it has come from, what it has been through as a society and to shape where they wish to go. The programme of cultural events and activity will adopt themes of People, Place and Planet.

Decision: Award Grant of £250,000 (12% of total project costs)

 

The Courthouse Bushmills – Crafting Legacies Programme

Applicant: Enterprise Causeway Ltd

Project description: The project seeks support for a heritage-based activity programme, comprising of a range of educational and hands-on activities, masterclasses, volunteer training, community events and interpretation for the Courthouse and to engage a wider more diverse audience in the heritage of The Bushmills Courthouse and the surrounding area.

Decision: Award Grant of £121,110 (100% of total project costs)

 

Creating a vision for sustaining the historic Thermopylae at Kilwarlin

Applicant: The British Province of the Unitas Fratrum (Moravian Church)

Project description: This project will devise a masterplan and vision for the site at the Moravian Church at Kilwarlin. The masterplan will address and create a sustainable solution for the future of the site and the vision will guide and manage the development and restoration.

Decision: Award Grant of £82,380 (100% of total project costs)

Applicant: Glór na Móna Teo

Project description: This project aims to capture, conserve and commemorate the heritage of the Upper Springfield area of Belfast by conducting oral history interviews, digitising and showcasing historical materials, developing an interactive website and heritage app.

Discovering the Past: The Roddy McCorely Museum Audio Interpretation

Applicant: The Roddy McCorley Society

Project description: This project hopes to improve accessibility and options for public engagement at their site through the creation of an audio trail which will guide visitors around the museum and gardens.

Project description: Rural Housing Association wish to raise awareness about and celebrate the local history and heritage of Newtownstewart through delivery an intergenerational multi-media heritage project.

Project description: This 2 year community heritage project will focus on researching and sharing the community heritage of the Rathcoole Estate and the stories of its people.

Decision: Award Grant of £121,000 (100% of total project costs)

Applicant: St Columbs Park Reconciliation Trust

Project description: The project intends to explore the history of the Georgian manor house and surrounding parkland raising awareness of lesser known strands of history within Derry City.

Decision: Award Grant of £61,039 (100% of total project costs)

Project description: This project aims to deliver a community heritage project to promote more resilient, wider opportunities for local communities in Portadown to become more engaged in the preservation and value of the past.
