Applicant: Grassmarket Community Project

Project description: To forefront community engagement and skills development for socially excluded people through the construction of a Scottish clinker-style rowing boat, known as a St Ayles Skiff, in Edinburgh. The project will use an asset-based community development approach.

Decision: Award grant of £10,000.00 (60% of total costs)

Without Fear Again - WW2 Stories related to the Bo'ness War Memorial

Applicant: Bo'ness Town Trust Association

Project description: To address the knowledge gap within the local community about the stories behind the fallen on the Bo'ness Second World War memorial. The project will involve people of all generations in shining a new light on the sacrifices made by each individual.

Decision: Award grant of £21,001.00 (100% of total costs)

Scotland's Heritage Hub (Community engagement and case of support testing stage of the project)

Applicant: Society of Antiquaries of Scotland

Project description: To buy and renovate a dilapidated, B-listed building in central Edinburgh to create a “Scottish Heritage Hub”. The Hub will harness and share the skills and expertise of heritage organisations, providing a focus for the heritage sector to increase public interest and involvement.

Decision: Award grant of £20,000.00 (55% of total costs)

Applicant: Edinburgh Printmakers Limited

Project description: To support a transition at Edinburgh Printmakers (EP) towards a more sustainable business plan and towards a greater focus on the heritage of their building and traditional skills.

Decision: Award grant of £249,999.00 (77% of total costs)

Railway Reflections museum

Project description: To aid the opening of a railway museum at Dumfries railway station, covering the legal fees, liability insurance and redecoration costs of the museum room.

Project decision: Award grant of £3,000.00 (100% of total costs)

Lismore Church Futures

Applicant: Lismore Community Council

Project description: Lismore Community Council is applying, on behalf of a collaboration of community organisations and interested individuals, for funds for a study on the viability of community ownership of the Cathedral Church of St Moluag.

Decision: Award grant of £9,480.00 (49% of total costs)

Project description: To offer a blueprint for catchment scale ecosystem restoration, with a specific focus on flood management. Due to a series of changes made to the funding package by the partnership funder, they are seeking a grant increase of £4,499.70.

Decision: Award grant increase of £4,499.70 to make a total grant of £121,684.70
