Sarah is a published writer, a course contributor at Cambridge University and has a successful career in heritage regeneration.

Sarah joined The Arkwright Society at Cromford Mills in 2002 and was there for 15 years – nine of which as CEO. She oversaw the development of the Cromford Mills Masterplan and the delivery of a number of capital works projects at the Grade I World Heritage Site. This included the £6million B17 scheme which went on to win a prestigious EU Europa Nostra Award.

In 2014 Sarah became Chair of the UK Association of Building Preservation Trusts and led on its transformation into a thriving new charity Heritage Trust Network.

Following the establishment of the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust in 2014, Sarah was engaged as its first CEO in 2017. She has since established a successful subsidiary trading company and, along with her trustees, launched the Wentworth Woodhouse Masterplan – a £130m regeneration programme for the site.

She has also successfully managed a £7.6m three phased Emergency Capital Works programme and is now overseeing a further nine major capital projects.
