The Pooling Resources project, led by Future Lidos, has developed and delivered a digital toolkit to support the revival of lidos across the UK.

With experts from across the lido sector, the project is raising awareness of the unique role lidos play and the benefits they can bring to communities. Future Lidos have brought together experts to create the new Lido Toolkit.

The toolkit is freely available to lido operators and future lido project leaders across the UK. It has been created using the latest data and knowledge in facilities development and covers insight on community involvement, environmental sustainability, business planning and more.

Lidos are a vital part of our heritage, and are great places of joy, wellbeing and connection.

Deborah Aydon, Pooling Resources Project Director

Following the launch of the toolkit, Future Lidos will host regular meetings to continue the mutual support and sharing of knowledge. The aim is to make the lido sector stronger and bring access to outdoor pool swimming to more communities.

Deborah Aydon, Pooling Resources Project Director, said: “This has been a fantastic opportunity for collaboration and will make the whole sector stronger. Lidos are a vital part of our heritage, and are great places of joy, wellbeing and connection. This project will help to extend the many benefits they bring to communities.”
