Prior to Gresham College, Richard was the Director of the Tank Museum in Bovington, Dorset where he led the organisation through £25million of capital development, nearly doubling visitor numbers and creating a vibrant digital offer, including a burgeoning e-commerce business.
Before moving to The Tank Museum, Richard worked in the shipping and logistics industry for 11 years. His roles included marketing, operational management and e-commerce – in London, New York and Hong Kong.
Richard has been Chair of Dorset Tourism Association and a Trustee of the Kimmeridge Trust as well as a number of other Dorset based charities. He was a Board Member of Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership for six years.
In 2018, he was appointed OBE for services to military heritage.
