The derelict Grade II listed building in Brixton was turned into a permanent home for the Black Cultural Archive’s collection of historical material.

A new museum for the Mary Rose has been built at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, forming an important part of the major regional tourist attraction.

Woking Museum Arts and Craft Centre, now known as The Lightbox, was conceived by a local community group in 1993 to establish a museum of Woking’s local and social history.
