The funding helped to repair and restore the historic fabric of the Grade II* listed building, and supported a new education programme to share the heritage with more people.

Tuckers Hall was built by the Guild of Weavers, Tuckers and Shearmen in 1471. The Guild regulated the woollen cloth trade in Exeter, which made the city wealthy and a centre for international trade.

The project revitalised the historic building and ran an educational visits programme with the nearby St Nicholas Priory education centre.

Conservation work included stabilising the structure of the wagon roof and repairing the stonework, as well as restoring the lower hall to act as an interpretation room.
