Since then, he has been a trustee of Parks for London and an independent member of the Audit and Risk Committees at Valuation Office Agency, The National Archives, Department for International Trade and Marie Curie.
Robert is currently a trustee of the charity Paintings in Hospitals and an independent member of the Audit and Risk Committee at Canal and River Trust. He is also a school governor and chairs a small charitable foundation helping fund learning opportunities for vulnerable children in Lebanon.
Robert grew up and went to school in Warwickshire, then studied at Trinity College, Oxford, and has lived in South West London for the past 40 years. His interests include modern political history, travel, contemporary art, theatre, opera and walking.
