As Executive Director for Business Delivery, Anne leads the directorate responsible for delivery of The National Lottery Heritage Fund's mission through engagement and investment, and through developing strategic partnerships, across the UK both locally and nationally.
Anne was previously Director of England, Midlands & East, where she has been responsible for leading on the development and delivery of all aspects of The National Lottery Heritage Fund’s strategy across the area. Before this she was Deputy Director of Operations. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, she oversaw the work of six of the previous regional and country operational teams. She was also responsible for the legal team and the National Heritage Memorial Fund Listed Places of Worship: Roof Repair Fund.
Anne joined the Heritage Lottery Fund in November 1999 as Regional Manager East Midlands. In 2002, she moved across to become Head of the West Midlands team and set up the team’s base in her home city of Birmingham.
Before joining the Heritage Fund, Anne worked in the civil service and had a variety of roles in the Department of Trade and Industry and the Government Office West Midlands. A number of those roles involved dealing with UK government and European grants to industry for capital investment and innovation projects.
Anne read Medieval and Modern History at the University of Birmingham and has an MPhil in the early medieval socio-political history of south Staffordshire.
