Rachel is based in our Leeds office. She began working here in 2022.

What does your role involve?

I manage how the Heritage Fund works with stakeholders at a corporate level. The term stakeholder can mean our partners, our peers and/or our influencers. I work closely with the Chief Executive’s office to ensure that the Chair and CEO have the briefings they need when meeting with stakeholders. I am also working on a range of systems and processes to make communicating and collaborating with our stakeholders more efficient and proactive.

What do you enjoy about working here?

No two days are the same. I really enjoy the variety that this role offers.

What motivates you at work?

I really love working with people, and the joy of stakeholder engagement is in ensuring that a variety of views and experiences are considered.

What’s the highlight of your time at the Heritage Fund?

Helping to organise the Westminster parliamentary event with the Policy and Public Affairs team. It was an amazing event, showcasing the Heritage Fund’s work with young people and launching Heritage 2033 in Westminster. It was brilliant having a range of young people at the event to demonstrate the impact of our funding.

What’s your favourite type of heritage?

I have an MA in medieval history, so unsurprisingly have a love of castles and churches, but I also love heritage that tells us the stories of people, showcasing different, and sometimes surprising, perspectives.
