Project description: This 12-month project aims to help preserve medieval Welsh poetry by working with people from communities in Cardiff and the Valleys using calligraphy, animation and music to show modern-day relevance and explore links with classical poetry from Persia, particularly the work of 14th-century poet Hafez.

Project description: 13-month community-engaged cultural heritage project that aims to celebrate, preserve, and enable public access to the unique natural dye recipe archive of Margaret and David Redpath – a Pembrokeshire couple and the last owners of Wallis Woollen Mill (Ambleston, Pembrokeshire).

Llais Tyisha – Capturing the lost voices of Tyisha, Llanelli to support the redevelopment of the area - Using the history and forgotten buildings by sharing and listening to stories.

Project description: The 36-month long project will aim to capture people’s memories of sites that are no longer in use in the community, as well as the history of Carmarthenshire. This includes the first Welsh school in the community (Copperworks School) and The Railway Goods Shed.

The Steel Storybook: a community reclaiming its industrial heritage through art

Project description: This 24-month project will focus on the tangible and intangible heritage of Port Talbot. This project will aim to use the under-utilised public space below the M4 as an industrial canvas for art, reclaiming the motorway structure as a heritage asset with a more positive role in people’s lives.

Project description: To sensitively enhance a Grade II listed building, Y Lanfa and give more flexibility for the Community and Cultural Hub operating there, by enclosing the outside covered area, providing a new multi-purpose two-storey space for pop-up exhibitions, group activities and retail sales.

Afghan Oral Hisory: A Slice of Afghanistan in Wales

Project description: The 12-month project focuses on the intangible cultural heritage of Afghan refugees in the UK. This includes their memories, oral histories, cultural traditions, values and everyday experiences that span from their lives in Afghanistan to their resettlement in the UK.

Pride: Film with Live Orchestra – 10th Anniversary Special

Project description: This short project aims to showcase the 2014 film Pride with a live orchestra of 60+ musicians and massed community choir, celebrating the film's anniversary, and the marking the 40th anniversary of the Miner's Strike.

Project description: A week-long river clean project to remove 13,000 to 15,000 tyres from the Ogmore estuary near Ogmore by Sea. The aim is to restore this area of densely polluted river to its natural state for wildlife and the community to enjoy.

Adleisiau Iris – Capturing, preserving and celebrating the heritage of Iris Prize

Project description: 29-month project will aim to create an enduring resource reflecting the diverse narratives and achievements of LGBTQ+ communities in Wales and beyond. Oral histories from audiences, filmmakers and the wider community will contextualise Iris’ development and community impact.
