Project description: This is an 18-month project that looks to create accessible media and information for the sensory loss community at various heritage sites in north Wales.

ABERDULAIS COMMUNITY HERITAGE HUB – Turning a Past into a Future for Non-Traditional Volunteering and Employment in Heritage in Neath Port Talbot.

Applicant: St Giles Trust

Project description: A 15-month project (March 2025 – May 2026) which aims to revitalise Aberdulais Falls through community engagement, focusing on recruiting and upskilling a diverse volunteer team, particularly those facing adversity through poverty, crime and discrimination, to deliver heritage activities including guided tours, conservation projects and community events.

Greekscapes – Recording the Hellenic Heritage in South Wales

Applicant: Cardiff Metropolitan University

Project description: This is a two-year project that will use an approach pioneered by the Layers of London Project to identify how successive Greek communities have shaped and influenced modern south Wales and its urbanscapes.

Dafydd ap Gwilym and Persian Poetry

Applicant: Gritty Films

Project description: A 12-month project (March 2025 – March 2026) to bring classical Welsh poetry to intergenerational and diverse communities in Cardiff and the Valleys, exploring the work of Welsh poet Dafydd ap Gwilym and the links with classical poetry from Persia, specifically the work of Hafez, a 14th-century poet.

Llais Tyisha – Capturing the lost voices of Tyisha, Llanelli to support the redevelopment of the area – Using the history and forgotten buildings by sharing and listening to stories.

Project description: A three-year project (April 2025 – to March 2028) to capture the history, memories and stories of five local buildings and sites no longer in use from the local community of Tyisha in Llanelli.

Project description: This is a three-year project aimed at developing the resilience of Cynon Valley Museum, based in Aberdare, RCT, to ensure that the collection it holds remains cared for, alive and accessible to public.

Applicant: Coetir Anian

Project description: This is a two-year project that looks to preserve, record and better understand Bwlch Corog's cultural and intangible heritage with community involvement to reconnect local people to the heritage on their doorstep and reaffirm the bond between community and landscape.
