Project description: This is a two-year project based on the steel heritage of Port Talbot. Swansea University, working with Theatr3 and Raspberry Creatives CIC, will hold workshops with community members to capture an audio archive of local memories and stories related to the town's steel heritage.

Project description: To deliver a range of educational, wellbeing centred programmes and training courses in traditional and natural building and sustainable land management to young people and adults from disadvantaged and vulnerable communities groups in Neath Port Talbot, Swansea and Carmarthenshire.

Project description: A four-year project that will look to protect Ceredigion's natural heritage from ecological decline, strengthen people’s connection to it, improve access and understanding and enhance biodiversity at a number of sites across the county.

Project description: This two-year project aims to bring together different generations of the community in Ystradgynlais, South Wales to explore and enjoy their heritage through intergenerational digital learning, oral history recording, banner-making and community celebration.

Decision: Award grant of £46,242 (90%)

Applicant: Llanelli Railway Goods Shed Trust

Project description: This is a one-year project aimed at repairing and restoring the Grade II listed Railway Goods Shed building in Llanelli, making it fully weatherproof and watertight for community use.

Decision: Award grant of £220,000 (50%)

Rockpool Rangers

Applicant: Beach Academy CIC

Project description: A three-year project (March 2025 to March 2028) to improve knowledge of rockpools, offer opportunities to care for them and educate people with the skills and knowledge to go rockpooling in a way that minimises harm and damage.

Mynachlog Fawr – Emergency Repairs and Community Led Development

Project description: A nine-month project aimed at delivering emergency repair works to the Grade II* listed Mynachlog Fawr farmhouse, alongside providing opportunities for students and interested individuals.

Freshwater Futures – Creating resilient waterways and communities in Gwent

Applicant: Gwent Wildlife Trust Ltd.

Project description: A three-year project (April 2025 to March 2028) aiming to improve freshwater biodiversity and ecosystem health on five rivers in Gwent, through engaging local communities in practical skills and citizen science activities to foster a connection between people and create a sustainable model for long-term community involvement.
