This project aims to restore and raise awareness of an important biodiversity habitat, home to a range of rare species.

Volunteers researched the history of The Croft in Nottingham, a non-institutional home for lone mothers during the 1960s and 1970s.

A Nottinghamshire community has been encouraged to explore, appreciate and care for local woodland in need of maintenance.

Young people interviewed older British Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs about their experiences of the Partition of India and created an exhibition and workshops for schools and community groups.

Young people from Lincolnshire explored their area's rich built heritage and gained an insight into traditional building skills.

A grant from HLF brought the heritage of the Huddersfield Canal to life, helping people to learn about the waterway in a fun and imaginative way.

Broxbourne Borough Council, with assistance from a Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) grant, has restored Cedars Park in Cheshunt. It has also succeeded in revealing more of its history for visitors to enjoy.

Many more people will have the opportunity to access the River Garnock’s natural beauty spots and experience the health benefits being outdoors can bring.
