Chiltern Open Air Museum received a Skills for the Future grant from us to offer training for people to build careers in heritage.

The museum offered 13 traineeships in learning, interpretation, volunteer management and sustainability. The trainees were able to learn transferable skills in these areas and gain a volunteer management qualification, which helped them to get jobs in the heritage or learning industries on completion of their traineeships. The museum since offered traineeships in heritage building and farming skills.
