Patrin focused on recording gypsy heritage through GPS mapping, photography and oral history interviews.

Patrin is the old word for the signposts the Romany Gypsy community left for other travellers as they moved around the country.

Private collections were made accessible to the public through a book, DVD, exhibition and interactive website.

The project focused on engaging younger members of the community to learn about their heritage. Participants learned new skills in photography and recording oral histories. Information about gypsy heritage attained through the project will continue to be promoted at International Gypsy Day events.
