Heritage Grants
This included creating new galleries, a dedicated learning area, research space, a shop and a cafe. The project brought many changes to the museum, its collection and facilities, including the creation of new education spaces and a broader programme of activities, events, workshops and educational sessions. The new dedicated learning area increased and improved the active learning and outreach programme.
The collections were placed within the heart of the village in which they were created, giving the local and wider community greater insight and understanding of the history. The project participants made the collection easily accessible and made sure the objects were properly preserved. There were lots of exciting opportunities for volunteers and other people keen to get involved.
