Development of an existing Haybarn into an Interactive Discovery Centre

HLF funding was to be used to educate and inform all visitors of the key issues in rural environmental and sustainable living practices, while exploring historic and traditional rural lifestyles.

The project involved creating an exhibition on the history of farming and the history of Greenmeadow through a historical timeline. Local schools were involved in the researching of historical materials, which was used on the information boards in the exhibition. Finally, visitor access has also been improved with the installation of an accessible lift, providing access to the upper floor and new exhibition space for artefacts and demonstrations.
