Heritage Emergency Fund
Throughout September and October 2020, Learning Through Landscapes trialled an outdoor education programme in 48 pilot schools across the UK thanks to a £250,000 grant from our Heritage Emergency Fund.
It makes me want to go into the woods when I’m older, or even now, with my friends or family, and go out camping, and explore the wildlife.

With focus on pupils from disadvantaged and low-income backgrounds, the My School My Planet programme aimed to increase wellbeing and encourage a connection with and understanding of natural heritage.
The pupils took part in practical nature-based activities, exploring how soils, biodiversity and our climate sustain our planet for the future.
One of the pupils said: “It makes me want to go into the woods when I’m older, or even now, with my friends or family, and go out camping, and explore the wildlife.”
