Through a combination of funding from Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and Worcestershire County Council, Bromsgrove District Council is enabling a range of repairs and conservation works to regain Bromsgrove's historic character.

A wide range of 18th and 19th-century listed buildings, including some early timber framed structures, make up the high street of Bromsgrove, a market town in north-east Worcestershire. Unfortunately over the years, modern additions including new shop frontages have degraded the town’s historic appeal.

New skills are being developed through training sessions by the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings and the local college. The wider community will also benefit from the project, through new interpretation, talks, arts projects and heritage open days.  More about the scheme can be found on the official webpage.
