Historic Lister Park was restored and enhanced as part of a project to renovate and refurbish the heritage of the park.

Lister Park sits on the site of the former Manningham Hall, family home of the Listers until 1870. The park contains six listed buildings as well as the Cartwright Hall Gallery and Museum.

Existing historic features and landscapes were refurbished and replaced and new features and facilities were created.

Improvements included restoring statues and buildings, replacing the boathouse and opening up the lake for leisure boating, restoring the formal garden and returning the bandstand to its former glory.
