£175500
Helpston Parochial Church Council used this grant to restore and convert the Grade II listed Botolph’s Barn into a community facility and exhibition space celebrating the 19th century poet John Clare.

The project involved restoring Botolph’s Barn into both a heritage and educational facility and a new meeting venue for the local community.

The previously unused barn now holds an exhibition about John Clare, who was born and grew up in Helpston, and later buried in Helpston churchyard.
