On 7 August, the only ship to survive from the 1915 Gallipoli campaign, HMS M.33, will open to the public for the first time following a major National Lottery funded restoration.

In his guest Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) blog, the Heritage Lottery Fund’s Chair Sir Peter Luff  talks about his personal connection to the ship and why it’s so important that she, her crew and the Battle is remembered 100 years on.
