Conference to explore the re-use of industrial heritage
The conference will take place on 1 and 2 December 2015 at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester. Ite will explore the theme of re-use of industrial heritage.
- Day one will explore the role of the public sector in encouraging the creative reuse and commercial opportunities of industrial heritage
- Day two will explore opportunities to develop new uses with commercial partners to leverage investment

The central theme is the re-use of vacant and at-risk industrial heritage buildings. This includes how former warehouses and factories are suitable for use by the creative industries. The conference aims to offer key public and private stakeholders helpful advice and guidance from leading figures in the sector.
Revived and re-used industrial buildings can be used to stimulate new industries. Industrial heritage can also help regenerate urban areas and help boost business.
