We're seeking expert consultants to apply to our new Register of Support Services (RoSS) Framework from April 2024.

Our RoSS consultants play an important role in our work, providing expert advice, monitoring projects and mentoring grantees and potential applicants. They have a range of knowledge, skills and experience.

Our RoSS consultants are vital to our success and will play a key role in helping us achieve our ambitions.

Make a difference

RoSS consultants have a significant impact on the UK’s heritage by supporting and monitoring our projects. We are the largest funder for the UK’s heritage and have awarded £8.8billion to more than 51,000 projects since 1994.

As a consultant, you will discover a range of wonderful heritage, from breath taking landscapes and iconic landmarks to local treasures and community memories. You will also work with a diverse range of organisations, from community groups to local authorities and national charities.

What we are looking for

We want to appoint consultants who can use their expertise to deliver services in any of the following areas:

  • heritage and culture construction project management
  • business development and management
  • public engagement with heritage
  • natural environment

As a UK-wide funder, our consultants must be capable of supporting projects in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and all areas of England.

We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds, including those with Welsh as a first or second language.

Vital to our success

Eilish McGuinness, Chief Executive of the Heritage Fund, said: “As our eyes and ears on the ground, our RoSS consultants play a critical role in helping us to safeguard and strengthen the UK’s treasured heritage.

“They use their expert skills and knowledge to support our projects, helping them to be innovative and steering them towards achieving the best possible outcomes for heritage, people and communities.

“Our RoSS consultants are vital to our success and will play a key role in helping us achieve our ambitions – including the delivery of our Heritage 2033 strategy and our vision for heritage to be valued, cared for and sustained for everyone’s future.”
