Renovation of St Andrew's Church, Penrice

Applicant: Gower Ministry Area – St Andrew's Church, Penrice

Project description: The purpose of the project is to renovate St Andrew's Church, addressing damp issues by removing existing plaster up to one metre above floor level, replacing it with breathable lime plaster, repainting the interior with mineral paint, updating the wiring, and installing 11 under pew heaters for improved climate control.

Project description: The project aims to produce and circulate a community co-created guidebook for Monmouth, enhancing both residents' and visitors' understanding of the town's history, architecture, cultural and social life through engaging content, historical and new images, and specially drawn maps, thereby promoting a thriving visitor economy.

Project description: This project seeks to reconnect people with rivers, restore key salmon habitats, provide a much needed valuation of the ecosystem services supported by salmon, and begin a theory of change to help revert salmon declines.

Project description: The project proposes to empower and heal vulnerable children from troubled backgrounds in Neath Port Talbot by providing access to and engagement with local green spaces, thereby supporting their physical and emotional recovery, promoting active lifestyles in alignment with the 'Healthy Weight, Healthy Wales' strategy, and enhancing community biodiversity and conservation education.

Decision: Award grant of £5,000 (100%)

Project description: The project aims to transform Mold Museum into a dynamic and inclusive community hub by redeveloping its main gallery and initiating a second phase to introduce interactive, physical, and digital activities developed in collaboration with local education consultants, artists, and various community groups, focusing on Mold's rich history and culture.
