Applicant: Birse Community Trust

Project description: This project seeks to repair and conserve the rare and at-risk souter’s workshop building, with the aim of increasing understanding of traditional shoemaking, small industry and rural local life in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Decision: Award grant of £106,876 (48%)

Project description: This project seeks to rebuild the Crannog on Loch Tay that was destroyed by fire in 2021. Aiming to save at-risk traditional skills, the project will be used as a vehicle for the Trust’s ongoing skills development opportunities.

Decision: Award grant of £225,000 (100%)

Dunfermline – A City Built on Heritage

Applicant: Carnegie Dunfermline Trust

Project description: This project aims to focus on using built and natural heritage locations to celebrate, define, design and deliver a programme of cultural engagements to promote the history and heritage of Dunfermline.

The Robert the Bruce Festival 2025

Applicant: It's not all Black and White CIC

Project description: This project aims to continue to celebrate the life of Robert the Bruce, a figure in Scottish culture, history and folklore through a 2025 festival. It also looks to celebrate Dunfermline as the ‘ancient capital’ of Scotland and as the final resting place of Robert the Bruce in Dunfermline Abbey.

Securing the Future: Building Resilience for a Reopened Citizens Theatre

Applicant: Citizens Theatre Ltd

Project description: Through this project, the Citizens Theatre aims to complete its redevelopment project and move toward opening while generating sustainable funding which will enable the community to access the heritage and culture contained within the Citizens Theatre building. This will, in turn, enrich the cultural landscape of Glasgow.

Decision:  Award grant of £250,000 (100%)
