Project description: This 18-month project will run from 1 June 2024 to 30 November 2025 and is referred to as “a development phase, to be used to engage with communities across the Borough, to understand better what heritage means to them and to empower them to contribute to the development of the Heritage Places initiative over the next 10 years”.

Decision: Award grant of £238,798 (100% of total project costs)

Voices of the Troubles (Phase 1)

Applicant: The Board of The Cathedral of St Anne, Belfast

Project description: This organisation aims to establish the Cathedral as a Centre for Acknowledgement, Learning and Memory (CALM). The project wishes to create a memorial project, Voices of the Troubles, in the Cathedral crypt, based on the book Lost Lives.

Bendooragh – A Place Apart

Applicant: Bendooragh & District Community Association

Project description: This project aims to create a book charting the village's history, supplemented with lamp-post banners, a mural in the village and a series of four heritage talks.
