Project description: To produce a 90-minute digital documentary with digital educational learning resource, ‘Huddersfield Windrush Veterans: They Served with Honour’, for schools.

Project description: To deliver accessible digital wayfinding with an interactive game to increase understanding of the heritage of the 26 miles of Stockton and Darlington Railway route.

From Prejudice to Prides

Applicant: Body Positive Cheshire and North Wales

Project description: To preserve the LGBTQ+ history of Cheshire by documenting the lived experience of the community's population, including collecting oral histories and personal artifacts as well as using multimedia to build a comprehensive archive.

Decision: Award grant of £249,318 (90.89%)

Project description: To preserve and transform access to the Piccadilly Radio archive, ensuring it remains accessible at Manchester Central Library by training volunteers and improving finding aids. The project will also curate clips and ephemera at the Manchester Digital Music Archive (MDMA) and commission podcasts. 

Decision: Award grant of £99,006 (96.93%)

Applicant: The Parochial Church Council of the Ecclesiastical Parish of St Wilfrid's Standish

Project description: To repair the spire of St Wilfrid’s Church and increase outreach to the community in the borough of Wigan.

Decision: Award grant of £216,992 (37.73%)

Applicant: Things That Go On Things Ltd

Project description: To connect five different community groups of Wigan and Leigh to their local heritage by illustrating the link between mining history and green spaces through use of digital technologies.

Swaledale & Wensleydale Environmental Farmers – SWEF

Applicant: Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust

Project description: To establish and sustain a group of environmentally minded farmers and moorland managers within the Yorkshire Dales, to deliver environmental goods and services (nature recovery, habitats and hedgerows, cleaner water, flood mitigation, carbon sequestration, protection of environmental heritage assets such as stone walls) more effectively in collaboration.

Decision: Award grant of £99,775 (100%)

Project description: To achieve and develop the training of a millwright over a three-year period at Heron Corn Mill and help with other watermills in the Northern region.
