This accessibility statement applies to our temporary The Woodland Investment Grant application form.
This website is run by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
- We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
- some elements of the heading structure are only shown visually
- some questions are programmatically defined as buttons but cannot be interacted with
- there is no method to allow people to skip the repeated heading on each page.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility
National Lottery Heritage Fund is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Disproportionate burden
Navigation and accessing information
There’s no way to skip the repeated content in the page header (for example, a ‘skip to main content’ option).
Multiple questions are announced as buttons by screen reader technology but cannot be interacted with.
Heading structure
On all pages there is text which is styled visually as a heading, but is not in the heading structure.
This form is built and hosted through third party software and ‘skinned’ to look like our website.
We’ve assessed the cost of fixing the issues with navigation and heading structure. We believe that doing so now would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. We will make another assessment in October 2020.
